I love finding deals. I have been collecting clothes for my son since I found out I was pregnant with him. His clothes come from all over: friends, consignment stores, garage sales, and clearance racks. When he was first born I was getting clothes left and right and needed to figure out what to do with them. Since they were all different sizes I needed some sort of organization system. I bought tubs of various colors and created signs for each one stating the size that would be held in each bin. I store the too big clothes in tubs in his closet. As he outgrows each size I buy a new tub to replace that tub and store the bin in the garage for when we have a number 2 or to giveaway or sell if we end up not having another boy. On the top of each bin I have a list of what is in the bin. It shows how many t-shirts, long sleeved pajamas, shorts, pants, etc. are in each bin. This helps make sure there is not too much of one thing in each bin. It also helps me know what I need to keep my eye out for when shopping. I also love for him to look cute but do not like to spend much money on his clothes especially since he tends to play hard. I have a set price that I like to pay per item and try to stick to it (unless I find something extra cute that is a must have). He has very few things in his wardrobe that I have paid more than $5 for. Another great thing about saving clothes sizes up is that you can stock up when there is a great deal. It also saves time because I don't have to go straight to the store when he starts growing out of a size. I already have the next size ready to go.
